Week 3
Not too much has happened this week but it was still a good week! I've spent most of it trying to memorize Spanish and reading my Libro de Mormon which has actually been pretty sweet. Again, Spanish can be vomit worthy a lot of the time but it can also be very rewarding when you can articulate what you want to say in another language.
I know I say this every week but my district is full of wonderful people, we have an unofficial district call on Sundays and p-days which I always look forward to. They're all super accepting so it's easy to be myself and not feel like I'm being judged for anything I say. I can definitely feel some of these relationships growing into some lasting friendships.
My Book of Mormon reading has been a big highlight of this week. Pre-mission, most of the time I would read to say that I read and then I'd get on with whatever else I would be doing, but I actually look forward to my personal study. Every time I read I swear it's exactly what I need to hear.
I'm officially halfway through the Home MTC! Which is INSANE because I feel like I just barely started yesterday. It's gonna be really sad when I have to say goodbye to everybody in my district and my teachers but I'm getting pretty good at goodbye's so hopefully it won't be too gruesome. I said goodbye to my good friend Elder Nielsen who has entered the field this week, no doubt he'll do great.
This week we messed with our maestra's a lot and that was super fun. My companion changed his name to Hermano Lara (our teacher) on zoom and made his profile picture the same as Hermano Lara so it was super hard to differ the two. It was super funny haha.
Also somebody in my ward brought me a Roxberry smoothie and it made my day.
I hope you're all doing amazing! Don't be afraid to reach out because I'd love to hear from all of you! Seriously!
Don't forget all of the blessings god has in store for you, it's more than you think! If we act in faith and obedience, we'll be able to see all the blessings that god will unfold to us. This has been the biggest thing I've learned from my reading this week.
Con MuchÃsimo Amor,
Elder Fuell
