Week 4

The MTC is flying by! It's crazy to think next week will be my last full week. I've really enjoyed my time a lot. It was really hard at first but as I started to get my groove it's been a blast. The lessons I've already been able to learn not just about the gospel, but about myself have been incredible. Please forgive me with this email because not a lot has happened since last week but I promise I'm trying my best to remember.

It's crazy thinking back to the first week and how much my Spanish has improved. Don't get me wrong, I'm nowhere near fluent but I can at least understand the main idea of what people are trying to say and I've gotten pretty good at understanding text. I've been reading a chapter or two out of el Libro de Mormon todas dias en Espanol and it's been helping a ton with pronunciation.

This week has been filled with some of the best memories so far during the MTC but also a lot of hard work. Elder Ethington and I did a couple of TRC's this last week and we're getting pretty good at teaching together. We talked to this single mother from Mexico who we taught about faith in Jesus Christ and she was extremely thankful towards my companion and I and told us she really felt the spirit! I felt like I was on cloud 9. It was a super rewarding moment that made me even more motivated and eager to get to Dallas. Definitely a feeling I'm looking forward to again.

Another thing that I've noticed this week is to really pay attention to the promptings of the spirit. The times that I have been able to notice the whisperings del espiritu santo and have acted on those promptings brought some pretty cool conversations, memorable experiences and a lot of blessings. Entonces, I invite all of you who are reading this email to pay special attention this next week on how you feel the spirit.

I've really began to get to know each person in my district on a more personal level which has been one of my favorite experiences thus far in the MTC. I know I hype them up every week but I seriously don't think it's just by accident that I was put with this group of people. Getting to know them and their backgrounds has been a blast. It's incredible the bond we've built just in a month. They've seriously made my time in the MTC so much easier than it would've been without them.

Now to the subject of this email, Mucho Amor!! I invite all of you to look at somebody you may not have talked to in a while and tell them you love them. Not only will it make the person you're telling feel super great but it will make you feel even better! When we can look outside of ourselves and our own problems, especially during a pandemic, and offer whatever gifts we have to somebody in need it will bless us greatly. God delivers us blessings the same way colleges deliver scholarships. If we don't apply, we won't receive money. It works the same with God! If we don't apply these plain and simple truths in our lives we won't receive blessings. God is waiting to hand out these blessings, we just need to apply with action and faith and he will always deliver. I know that to be true. Lo siento por la perorata.

I've decided after my mission I will be a baseball fan, me and my brother will convert to the San Diego Padres, no particular reason behind the team choice but it's just a new sport for me to get into. Plus after my mission any sport will be super sweet so I'm looking forward to that.

I wasn't expecting this email to be so long so if you made it to the end, enjoy these pics from this week! These are some of my favorites yet!

Con muchísimo amor,

Elder Fuell
