Langosta!

Hey y'all!!

Well, it's been a crazy week and a lot has happened so I'm sure this email might get pretty hefty but I promise if you make it to the end I'll have some beautiful & entertaining photos.

It started out with saying goodbye to the family on monday morning and I was off to texas, me and 11 other missionaries stayed the first night in the mission home where we got additional training and I love my president, he's hilarious. Super great guy.

The next morning we got up, met at the stake center where we would be getting our trainers. My trainers name is Elder Gaviria who is originally from Peru but lived in florida most of his life. He's one of the funniest people I've ever met, also one of the most humble. We're in a spanish area!!!! We happen to be opening the area so me and Elder G have no idea where anything is but the work's still moving forward! Since it's a Spanish area, it's a massive area because everybody is really spread out and we only have bikes so my legs are going to be shredded. Also we have downtown Dallas in our area which is super sweet.

We live in a little one bedroom/one bath duplex with two other missionaries so as you can imagine it's pretty cramped, but luckily the two other missionaries we live with are hilarious and the four of us always have a great time. One elder in the other companionship actually flew in on the plane with me so it's nice not feeling like the only person not knowing what's going on sometimes.

I'm pretty positive we have a ghost. A couple weird things have happened including: somebody cranking the AC down to 53° in the middle of the night, Elder Throckmorton lost his glasses, which we found in the microwave later that day, which that same microwave ended up exploding, random objects and pens will randomly disappear and then reappear falling from vents or ceiling fans lol. It's crazy stuff but we're having such a great time.

One really cool thing that happened this week is we got a referral of a man named edgar who is actually a pastor from Colombia but got stuck here in dallas due to covid. We taught him the first lesson and I said the first vision! In Spanish! It was a super cool lesson and he was super receptive towards everything and even committed to reading the book of mormon. Super awesome guy.

Yesterday was church and like i said, este solomente español. I didn't understand much and at one point I got called up by the bishop to share my testimony. I think it went pretty good, everybody kept coming up to me afterwards and said I did great but i wasn't sure if that's because I actually did do alright or because they happen to be the nicest ward of all time. God bless the Casa Linda ward. Nevertheless, I can testify that my prayers for the gift of tongues really did take control in that situation.

It's been such a good time down here in texas. The rumors are true, everybody does say y'all and eat loads of bbq. Its rubbing off on me and I can definitely say that I love this city and these people so much.

Email me!! I love love reading the emails you all send. It always makes my day!

Con muchísimo amor,

Elder Fuell
