Week 1

 Subject: First Week!

Life in the Home MTC is really not all that bad! I wake up at 6 and try to go on a run, eat some breakfast and then start my first class at 8 AM. This class goes until about 11 AM and then I usually have a little bit of a break to eat some lunch, do companion study, language study etc. At first I was really worried about having too much free time and boredom, but it's the exact opposite! I worry that I don't have enough time to get everything done that I need to!!  My second class doesn't start until 4:30 PM and then it finishes around 7-7:30. After this I usually spend the rest of the day hanging out with my family or doing some more scripture study.

Learning a new language is really difficult! I've been able to say the first vision and pray en espanol! It's all basic stuff but i'm really happy about it jajaja. I can truly say that the gift of tongues is very real. I couldn't imagine that I would be able to hold even a basic conversation in espanol just a week ago, but now I can. I can't wait to see where I'm at when I finish the MTC.

My companion's name is Elder Ethington and he's a super great guy! He's from Oregon and used to work on a commercial fishing boat in Alaska for like 20 hour days so he's a pretty hard worker hahaha, super epic guy. My district is amazing!! We're all super close already and they are all extremely positive. It makes sharing our testimony's very comfortable and learning espanol is always nice because everybody will always hype you up even when you're pretty bad hahaha. They all have really good humor so we have a really fun time together. There's this Elder named Thor in my district and he's one of those people where you can just watch him and think it's the funniest thing you've ever seen, he always makes my day better. His name is elder Labrum so you can find him in the district picture I attach.

Other than that I can't say too much has happened here at the Home MTC.
Remember to pray and remember who makes all things possible, Don't forget to pray! I've really been able to see the power of prayer many times this past week. I'll attach some photos from this week that I thought were pretty noteworth, Enjoy!
