New Year, New Continent?
Big News!! Wednesday morning we had interviews with President and Sister Farley. When we logged onto the zoom call, sister Farley says, "Elder Fuell are you excited?" I was pretty confused so I asked what she was talking about. Next thing I know she says, "You're going to Paraguay!" Initially, I was super shocked & honestly still can't really believe it. With that being said, I'm supposed to be getting on a plane to Asuncion Paraguay Jan 1st 2021!!!
As excited as I am to start sleeping in fly-nets in 100 degree weather I can't help but feel a little sad about leaving Dallas. With just 6 weeks I've grown a great love for the new friends and people I've met. I know even though my time here has been short, I was sent here for a reason and I still have 6 more weeks to get some work done.
Now that that's out of the way, the ghost. This week included: More bike problems, more sweat, a broken refrigerator door handle, smoothie all over my shoe, a jail visit & somebody ate all my spam and nobody confessed to it so it's most likely the ghost. I also cried twice this week but this time it was the holy ghost.
This week was super solid and we were able to get 2(!!!!) of our friends to stake conference yesterday which was so amazing.
I recently listened to a talk by the GOAT Neal A Maxwell talking about patience. With four elders living in one place, 6 sharing a car and your church building being 40 minutes away can cause a little bit of stress. So stumbling across this talk was god trying to tell me something. But there was one quote that really stuck out to me saying, "It is patience when combined with love which permits us in the process of time to detoxify our disappointments, patience and love take the radioactivity out of our resentments. These are neither small nor occasional needs in our lives."
I miss all of you and I love hearing from you even more! ALSO IMPORTANT, if any of you want to send me your address I will be sending out some letters probably here soon, I stole this idea from Stephen Lowe because I thought it was great. But yes, Please send me your addresses, missionaries or not!
I also found a pack of kittens. :}
Cuidese!
Con MuchÃsimo Amor,
Elder Fuell
