Henry (the cat) is really the worst!!
This week was super great and also suuuper busy.
The ghost was really out to kill, some of the pranks were not cool, including the following; My missing porkchops (which was either the ghost or our landlord), some creepy sleep talking, a missing wallet, more bikes wrecked, a couple people kept falling on the ground (pics included of the crime scenes below), henry the cat hissed at me (no longer a homie even though we fed him tuna just moments later), new addiction to aloha coconut chapstick, the door of the train almost closed on my companion & the return of the incredulous beef chunks
Besides our little mishaps with the mildly friendly ghost, this week brought a TON of miracles our way.
Probably the biggest miracle this week is that we were able to get 4 people to church yesterday!! Sundays as a missionary are usually pretty stressful so seeing a couple of the people you're teaching put in a really big effort to get to church makes all the hardships throughout the week so small and insignificant.
On Saturday we were able to go and eat with a super cool member family, one of their sons actually just returned from my same mission in paraguay! He told me all about what to expect and how incredible the people are. Also about the massive snakes that come out of the rivers and eat people.
On thursday this week Elder Gaviria and I got back from doing some service and the other elder's that live in our apartment seemed to be up to something, they open the bedroom door and we have a christmas tree in there. Turns out, they actually stole it from the other Elder's house about 5 minutes away and it was so funny. The other Elder's went looking for their tree so we threw it in our attic so they couldn't find it. This went on for a couple of days until they thought that somebody actually came in and robbed them. We thought we won but then they decided they were about to call president when we finally confessed and so now we're still without a christmas tree but I'm determined to change that this week!
I also got permission to see my dad for about 5 minutes this morning which was reallly cool! It's super weird seeing him here in Dallas but again, super sweet. (Louie was passing through and Elder Fuell had some things he was leaving in the States before he heads off to Paraguay)
I've been reading a lot about the scattering of israel and how that pertains to each of us, it was super interesting and I invite any of you who haven't done that, to do so.
I hope y'all had a super great week and I'd love to hear from all of you!
Con muchísimo amor,
Elder Fuell
