Pacienco Mio!!
Hey y'all!
Bear with me, this email might get a little hefty because this week was great and I have a lot to report on, I promise if you make it to the end you'll love it & I might just have pics to back up my claim.
To start this week off I had interviews with my mission president and it was great, he's the sweetest guy.
Something I asked him is how I can work on patience. Before I got on the mission I would've liked to think I was a patient guy, turns out I'm actually the exact opposite haha. Over this past month, God has really been working on my patience with a couple of things, so I needed some help. If any of y'all struggle with the same dilemma I'd invite you to read moroni 7:40-47, it'll help a lot. Nevertheless as I've been able to choose how to respond to some situations I've been able to feel a lot more peace and happiness, who would've thought!
I had exchanges again this week, but this time it was with my good friend Elder Throckmorton, one of the Elders we live with. We spent a lot of time downtown and most of my pics this week happened from that exchange, it was a blast.
I also had the most incredible opportunity to go to my companions patriarchal blessing yesterday! It was a very memorable experience and holy crap the patriarch was a very wealthy man. Walking through his house felt like walking through an art museum, it was incredible. After the blessing we asked him a lot of questions about the 12 tribes of Israel because I've been studying it like crazy, but this isn't even the coolest part; when we were finishing up he said he had something to show us, he pulls a small book out of a box and it's an 1830 first-edition Book of Mormon!! He let us take pics with it and it was probably one of the coolest moments of my life haha. All 5 of us missionaries were fan-girling over it I'm sure he thought it was hilarious.
I took a look this week at the chapter 6 'christlike attributes test' in Preach My Gospel and decided I basically have an F in every category lol, so I've been really zoning in on those this week. it's actually made this week more enjoyable which I'm gonna be honest, I didn't entirely expect to feel that way about it by the end of the week.
I dont mean to end this email on a sober note but I'm sure you all have heard about the missionary who passed away in Arkansas, life can be cut short sometimes so don't forget to tell somebody you love them today. I love all of you on this little email list, even if I haven't told you in a while haha. Stay safe!
Also it snowed yesterday :3
Con muchísimo amor,
Elder Fuell
